Christine joins UKSE team in the North.
Christine Tranter is busy settling into her new role - helping the new and growing businesses based in UKSE’s Innovation Centres in Hartlepool and Redcar.
Appointed as a Workspace Co-ordinator she is now part of the team ensuring the Centres run smoothly and providing support to around 100 business tenants.
Christine, who lives in New Markse, was delighted when, following a short spell as an agency temp, UKSE offered her a permanent post.
“I really enjoy the fact that no day is the same,” said Christine, “As well as making sure everything at the Centres runs well so tenants are free to concentrate on their own businesses we are on-site to deal with any queries they may have.
“Our tenants are involved in many different sectors from engineering, architecture, occupational health, freight and construction to training, saddlery, software and design so it is always busy and interesting.”
Tenants at the purpose-built Innovation Centres benefit from flexible workspace with offices and units in a range of sizes and facilities that include 24-hour access, fully equipped meeting rooms and a reception area as well as ample free parking and a gym.
“They are really friendly business communities,” said Christine. “We have Meet Your Neighbour breakfasts and coffee mornings and tenants also get together to fund raise for local charities, including the Food Bank.”
Christine started out studying childcare in Middlesbrough but switched to business administration and has never looked back.
Sarah Thorpe, UKSE’s Regional Manager, said: “Our Workspace Co-ordinators play a vital part in keeping the Centres running smoothly so we were delighted when Christine chose to join us and hope she will be very happy in her new role.”
