Employment opportunities at Pivotal Sec Plus, as firm triples office space.

A £100m provider of cash management and ATM services has tripled its office space in Hartlepool with support from UKSE, as it looks to take on more staff, make further acquisitions and operate at a global level.

Pivotal Sec Plus is the UK and Ireland’s largest independent provider of cash management and ATM Services, providing cash and valuables-in-transit and cash processing.

The company was formerly known as Pivotal, but experienced a significant period of growth in October 2024, when it acquired Security Plus + Limited.

The business was previously operating from a smaller base at the Innovation Centre in Hartlepool, which housed staff responsible for administration and all aspects of customer relations.

However, following its acquisition of Security Plus + Limited, the company began expanding further into the UK, which led to a need for more space for the team in Hartlepool, who are looking after operations all over the UK and Northern Ireland.

This led to Pivotal Sec Plus tripling its office space at the Innovation Centre, based at Queens Meadow Business Park in Hartlepool, to meet its new requirements.

Julieanne Crawford, the company’s head of customer service, said: “Our new, larger office in UKSE’s Innovation Centre provides the perfect base for us.

“It is close to main roads connecting the whole of the North East and beyond and it also provides us with high-quality offices and facilities.

“The Hartlepool office is crucial to our business, as it houses our customer service and sales team, which had been growing rapidly since the acquisition in 2024, so it is fantastic that we have been able to increase our footprint at the Innovation Centre.”

Julieanne explained how the size of the firm more than doubled overnight following the acquisition in 2024.

“When you compared Pivotal and Security Plus + limited, Pivotal was the smaller of the two businesses, buying the larger business,” she said.

“Pivotal Sec Plus has more than 6,000 clients.

“We are continuously looking to grow – and Pivotal Sec Plus is currently recruiting more sales and customer service staff in Hartlepool, who are the hub of the business.”

Pivotal Sec Plus enables other businesses to securely transport cash. It also has an estate of ATMs across the UK and Ireland.

It supports a wide range of businesses, from corner shops through to larger retail stores and financial institutions.

Sarah Thorpe, regional manager for the North at UKSE, the Tata Steel business support subsidiary, said: “We congratulate Pivotal Sec Plus on the move to bigger premises within our Hartlepool innovation Centre, which reflects their growth and ambition and our ability to meet the needs of growing businesses with the facilities we offer.

“It is always pleasing to see the firms working within our offices grow and do well and we will look forward to welcoming some more new staff joining Pivotal Sec Plus in Hartlepool in the near future.

“Our offices in Hartlepool, as well as Kirkleatham in Redcar, provide high quality spaces for businesses of all sizes to be based – places where they can grow and flourish – and we are very proud of these facilities and their role in supporting the local economy.”

UKSE, which is now in its 50th year, can also offer financial support to businesses.
