UKSE Help Cloud Cover IT Services Fly.
One of Scotland’s leading IT services businesses, Cloud Cover, is embarking on expansion plans thanks to help from UKSE.
The Glasgow-based firm, which specialises in developing tailored IT solutions including bespoke software and infrastructure implementation and support, has been granted a five-figure loan by UKSE.
The funding, which will help the firm increase personnel by a quarter, is in conjunction with a wider innovation grant from Scottish Enterprise and Business Loan Scotland, worth over £300,000.
Cloud Cover IT Services is one of Scotland’s leading Microsoft Gold partners, operating a close working relationship with the tech giant, and have experience in virtualisation, IP telephony and sensors.
Scott Webb, regional executive at UKSE said: “Cloud Cover IT is an extremely strong performer in the industry and we are happy to show our support.
“In a world where almost everything is online, it’s fantastic that Cloud Cover is seizing the opportunity to grow. It’s a very exciting time for the business and we look forward to seeing what the future has in store for its highly experienced team.”
With the expansion, Cloud Cover IT Services plan to create a centre of excellence for the Internet of Things (IoT) and SharePoint, where experts will work with businesses to develop cloud solutions, increasing efficiency across their firms.
Lance Gauld, managing director at Cloud Cover IT Services said: “We are so grateful for the support we’ve received from UKSE and Scottish Enterprise. Without their help, we wouldn’t have had the opportunity to expand the business so quickly.
“We can’t wait to build on our existing team of specialists, whilst continuing to offer quality IT services to our ever-growing client base.”
