Martyn Edwards.

Martyn Edwards manufactures fish fryers and ranges, primarily for takeaway restaurants. The business was at a mature stage when we first invested to aid working capital. We continued to build our relationship with the business by introducing a Tata Steel metallurgist to assist with some development of their frying pans.
Investing again a year later and converting an option, we facilitated the purchase of the rented business premises and provided further working capital for growth.
The business has since further developed its premises, with a more efficient layout providing a better workplace for the skilled team of fabricators and fitters.
"We had the opportunity to buy our rented manufacturing facility. UKSE obtained a grant from the government’s Regional Growth Fund along with providing further loan funding. This enabled us to obtain a commercial mortgage from the bank and secure the premises"Dave Atkinson, Director
How we did it.
UKSE was a supportive funding partner providing investment on more than one occasion. Working with the team through an important time in the Company’s development helped the business to thrive. We agreed on the sale of our shares when the time was right for the directors and the business.
