Industrial Pumps.
UKSE got involved to help David and Dave complete the MBO of their company back in 2016. They brought their own ideas and flare to the business, achieving growth. They increased the size of the workforce too; new skilled jobs in the Rotherham area.
Buyout completed, growth plans achieved, jobs created.
5 years after the first investment Dave and David felt they were in a position to buy UKSE’s shares back. So they spoke to us. To the same colleagues who made the original investment and supported the company’s growth. We listened. And agreed a valuation that was fair to all parties and structured the payment in a way the business could afford.
"Exit discussions were fair and straightforward over two rounds to suit our cashflow, with no penalties. We believe we are a stronger and more valuable company for having worked with UKSE, and we remain committed to our original vision of continuing to grow, and to create further job opportunities in the local area "David Carley - Managing Director
How we did it.
At UKSE, we know from 50 years of supporting small businesses, that pre-determined deadlines and exit penalties rarely work. The flexibility to sell your business or buyback the shares on a timetable that you’re in control of is just good sense. It’s also the best way to help businesses succeed and grow. Clear aims, patient capital.
Relationships are key to a successful investment. There has to be a meeting of minds, a joint purpose. And whilst the buyback of shares can be the final act, often it isn’t. We talk regularly to the guys, happy to be an occasional sounding board. We’ve even helped them fund additional factory space in the last 6 months. They are achieving great things. Congratulations from all at UKSE.
The results.
