UKSE support Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards.
UK Steel Enterprise was proud sponsor of the Best Business award for organisations with 26 or more employees at this year’s Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards.
Marking the 25th year of the awards, the event was an outstanding success with over 450 guests attending the prestigious evening at Motherwell Concert Hall on Friday 18 May.
The Best Business award recognises organisations with 26 or more employees which demonstrate significant growth to the panel of distinguished judges. This year, nominees were expected to present a credible plan for continued success in 2018 as well as a strong performance record.
While each of the category finalists showed evidence of strong leadership, employee development and stakeholder relationships it was the team at Highlander International Recycling who clinched this respected award for their ability to differentiate themselves from competitors.
Scott Webb, Regional Executive, UKSE took to the stage at the ceremony to present Highlander International Recycling with its award.
He said: “Congratulations to Highlander International Recycling on their well-deserved win at the Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards.
“It is always rewarding to see Lanarkshire businesses succeed. Supporting local companies and helping them to reach their full potential is at the heart of what we do, so it is fantastic to see that so many are thriving.”
Other winners included: Excel Vending Ltd for Excellence in Customer Service, Ingen Technical Services for Developing Lanarkshire’s Young Workforce and George Bell of The Bell Group who won the Special Recognition Award, a one-off award presented in celebration of the 25th year of the awards.
