Business lender UKSE has taken their popular Networking on Two Wheels event to Derby Velodrome, offering West Midlands businesses the opportunity to combine professional networking with track cycling.

On November 10, business professionals from across the West Midlands spent the afternoon building relationships whilst enjoying expert tuition on the velodrome’s track.

The UKSE West Midlands team have been running monthly Networking on Two Wheels events since August 2023. Organised on the second Tuesday of each month, these events cover a range of scenic routes across Staffordshire, with the Derby Velodrome representing a special addition to
the programme.

UKSE West Midlands area manager Steve Grice said: “The event at Derby Velodrome was a great alternative to traditional networking forums. The velodrome provided an excellent backdrop for business conversations and relationship building.

“Professional tuition was provided throughout the event, ensuring all participants could take full advantage of the opportunity regardless of their cycling experience.”

Azets corporate finance partner Alper Dervish said “This was a really great way to network, and something a little out of the ordinary. I really enjoyed the afternoon.”

FlexABL director Paul Stokes added “What a great event. I’d thoroughly recommend anyone to have a go at this. The instructor was excellent and it was a great way to network with others.”

Providing strategic loan and equity packages of up to £1m to generate growth, create jobs and bolster the economy, UKSE’s team based in Keys Business Village, Cannock, supports SMEs across Birmingham, the Black Country, Coventry, Staffordshire and Telford.
