UKSE investment backs C-Tech Solutions’ ambitious growth plans.
A company that specialises in infrastructure networks and fibre optic cabling has secured a six-figure investment package from UKSE to support its ambitious plan for further growth.
C-Tech Solutions Ltd, based in Guisborough, designs, delivers and maintains integrated networking systems, cabling and associated technologies across the UK and Europe.
The company is heavily involved in the UK defence and justice sectors and also works with companies in construction, health, education, retail and other areas. Projects can involve everything from structured data cabling and security CCTV to in-store electronic point of sale transactions
Welcoming the investment from UKSE, C-Tech Solutions Managing Director Mike Empson said: “Our accountants Milner Smeaton introduced us to UKSE and securing the funding package has enabled us to proceed with a buyout of company shares from a director, keeping them in-house, and put a growth plan in place that will take C-Tech on to the next stage.
“We have grown steadily, despite economic difficulties, and are now back to pre-Covid levels with a very healthy order book and plenty in the pipeline. We currently have a team of 15, having just taken on a further four engineers, two apprentices and an Operations Manager. We’re planning to take on another four engineers and a third apprentice in the next few months and are also well supported by subcontractors.
“The quality of applications we are getting, including for our apprenticeships, is impressive and our engineers are all Tees-based, working on contracts across the UK and Europe.”
C-Tech was set up in 2013 and has completed projects with a number of local authorities, including the multi-million pound Stockton Cross Town Fibre Network, KFC, the NHS, Asda, Nissan and Komatsu.
“We have strong partnerships with leading manufacturers which means we can offer cost-effective, innovative and high quality solutions,” said Mike Empson.
Peter Taylor, Business Development Manager for UKSE, the Tata Steel business-support subsidiary, said: “C-Tech Solutions is an excellent example of a business with a strong growth plan that is creating valuable jobs and strengthening the regional economy despite the recent challenges. Investment and advice for growing businesses is out there and we always welcome the opportunity to discuss projects.”
John Milner of Stockton-based accountants Milner Smeaton said: “We have worked with C-Tech for a number of years now and were pleased to introduce the company to UKSE to discuss a possible investment. Working as part of a team to support a business is a positive experience and we are looking forward to seeing C-Tech’s growth plan develop.”
