Business investment specialist UKSE has provided sponsorship for three disabled horse riders to compete at the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) National Championships.

Three riders from Riding for the Disabled’s Stafford & District Group, based at Rodbaston and Dunston Heath Stables, earned their place in the Nationals after winning their regional heat. They will now represent the Group at the Championship finals taking place between 10–12 July at Hartpury College in Gloucestershire.

Harry Ridgeway and Alex Smyth will both compete in the non-profiled led dressage test, in walk, whilst Jon Hamblin who is registered blind, will compete in the B1 led, walk only dressage test.

The sponsorship from UKSE will help towards the cost of overnight accommodation for the riders, horses and volunteers as well as the transportation of the horses to the venue in addition to horse rental for the duration of the competition.

The RDA National Championship is the largest equestrian event of its kind for disabled competitors. The sponsorship will enable the riders to take part in the prestigious event and compete against riders from across the country.

Providing strategic funding packages of up to £1m to businesses to generate growth, create local job opportunities and bolster the economy, UKSE’s local team based in Cannock also make community donations on the back of their work supporting SMEs across Birmingham, the Black Country, Coventry, Staffordshire and Telford.
