VectorCloud takes to the sky with UKSE.
A leading Scottish IT support business is embarking on expansion plans, thanks to support from UKSE.
Motherwell-based VectorCloud specialises in managed IT services, including support information security, disaster recovery and business continuity. The firm recently received a five-figure loan from UKSE which will allow them to expand its workforce by 20%.
UKSE has also invested an additional figure, which has given them a 10% stake in the business.
VectorCloud was established in 1997 and is one of Scotland’s leading IT services organisations, working with SMEs across Glasgow and Edinburgh, offering infrastructure support and cloud technology systems.
The funding has allowed VectorCloud’s senior management team to acquire a majority share of the business.
Kevin Mitchell, joint owner at VectorCloud, said: “UKSE’s help has allowed us to plan growth for the organisation. Redevelopment of our current business model also allows for the removal of any uncertainty. It’s fantastic that we can add to our team of experts immediately which will, in turn, make us a stronger company.
“Working with UKSE has been a great experience. The team are easy to speak to and without their help, we wouldn’t be able to expand and progress so quickly and reach our business goals. I’m extremely grateful.”
Scott Webb, regional executive at UKSE, said: “The team at VectorCloud are experts in their field and we are proud to show our support. We’re looking forward to seeing how they progress over the years to come.”
