Wells VA Services, founded by Sue Wells in August 2022, supports business owners and consultants by providing client-focused support, and helps to keep them organised, in control and feeling less stressed and overwhelmed with the demands of business admin.
For over 30 years, Sue provided top-level admin support as an Executive PA within FTSE 100 companies/global organisations and privately-owned businesses within the Steel and Construction industries – spanning a variety of sectors including Construction, Health & Safety, Human Resources, Engineering, Property Development, Design and Manufacturing.
Following company restructuring, she decided to use her expertise to set up her own virtual assistant business to support clients across the UK and globally in handling business admin.
Now, Sue is focusing on building great relationships with her current clients and creating a strong foundation for taking on further business.
After receiving a Kickstarter grant from UKSE – a local investment company that provides finance of up to £1.5m to growing companies, as well as providing support for start-ups – Sue was able to pay for start-up costs associated with setting up the business including IT and software, data protection and legal contracts, insurance, company branding and marketing.
Reflecting on a successful start, Sue Wells said: “I am incredibly grateful for the funding and support from UKSE – the process was incredibly smooth and informative from the submission of the application, to being quickly advised that the grant had been approved.
“As the business grows, I will look to expand the business – my focus now though is to provide an amazing, tailored service to my clients.”
Established for nine months, Wells VA Services is building a client base with ambitions to expand and provide tailored services for executives, independent consultants, freelance business professionals, and small business owners.
Sue said: “For me, the key to a successful business is building great relationships with your clients, which in turn lends itself to providing a great service and client experience.”
